wildlife sanctuary in mid-western Nepal near the Karnali River, the national
park is undoubtedly one of Nepal's best places to spot wildlife. Spend four
days in the wilderness of the Tarai rainforests, a perfect retreat from the
hustle and bustle of everyday life. We
have designed the best package to explore all that Bardia National Park has to
offer with additional fun activities.
In addition
to exploring the wildlife, you can enjoy many exciting activities during your
tour of Bardia National Park. The canoe ride is the most interesting, during
which you will float on the Karnali River surrounded by jungles. You also have
the option of rafting. During the safari, you will have a packing lunch.
The Bardia
jungle safari tour is also a great way to explore the local Tharu people's
cultures, traditions, and lifestyles. You can explore the villages while
strolling around in the evening. You can see the Tharu dance program which is
performed at the resorts where you stay. The unique and exciting culture and
tradition of the Tharu people will make your trip unforgettable.
Flora and fauna
Bardia
National Park is rich in flora and fauna. Seventy percent of the park is
covered by forest, where we can find 839 different plant species. The rest are
grasslands, savannas, and riverine forests. In the park's dense forest, there
are 642 species of animals. Some of them are endangered and rare species, such
as the one-horned rhinoceros, Bengal tiger, marsh deer, the Gangetic dolphin,
etc. Bardia National Park is considered the best place to spot tigers in Nepal.
During the jungle safari, these exotic animals and birds can be spotted.
Watchtowers have been built in the park to observe them without any risk of
being attacked by wild animals.
Bird watching
Bardia
National Park is an incredible place for bird watching. It is home to 407
different species of birds. The park's grasslands are dominated by birds such
as the lesser florican and Sarus crane, crowned Prinia, jungle Prinia,
pale-footed warbler, divergent bush warbler, striped grassbird, golden-headed
cisticola, chestnut warbler, and a host of others. Other exotic birds such as
Bengal florican, white-rumped vulture, peacock, and bar-headed goose also
abound in the park. Morning is the best time to observe the birds as they leave
their nests to forage for food.
Jungle Safari
The jungle
safari is the main event of your Bardia jungle safari trip. You can do a jungle
safari in 3 ways: Walking, elephant rides, and jeep safaris. You can walk
through the Jungle with your naturalist guide, who will lead you through the Jungle
and provide you with all the information you need about the flora and fauna of
the Jungle. On the elephant safari, you will ride on the back of an elephant
and tour the park. During the jungle safari, you may see exotic animals such as
wild elephants, tigers, marsh deer, Gangetic dolphins, etc. The last option is
to ride in the jeep and drive through the park to experience these exotic birds,
animals, and landscapes.
Cultural exploration
The Bardia
jungle safari is an excellent opportunity to explore the tradition, culture,
and lifestyle of the indigenous Tharu communities that reside in this area. The
Tharu have a unique culture, traditions, beliefs, and language. You can visit
the villages on ox carts, interact with the locals and taste their local dishes
during your tour of Bardia. There will also be a Tharu cultural dance
performance at the resort where you stay. During the four days of your Badia
jungle safari tour, you will learn in-depth their culture and way of life,
which is fascinating to observe.

National Park offers many fun activities. In addition to the jungle safari, you
can enjoy canoeing on the Karnali River. The river flows in the middle of the Jungle,

The best seasons
Spring
(March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the best months to travel
in Nepal because the days are usually sunny, the temperature is perfect, the
sky is clear, and the mountain is still crystal clear. This tour can also be
done in monsoon (June to August) and winter (December to February), but do not
expect the weather and mountain views to be good.
Ground transportation
In addition
to air transport between Kathmandu and Nepalgunj, it is also possible to travel
by bus/car. Nepal's roads are safe, but sometimes transportation can be
disrupted by landslides, strikes, or political unrest. Therefore, allow a few
extra days in your travel plans to backup for your international flight out of
Nepal. Consequently, we advise you to include at least one extra day in your
itinerary to avoid conflicts with international flights out of Nepal. In this
case, we can arrange activities with your additional days in Kathmandu before
your flight home.

I had a perfect

beauties of the park. It is famous for one-horned rhino, Bengal tiger,

I was one of
the lucky ones to be released with the wild Bengal tiger in Bardiya National

The jungle
safari in Bardiya National Park is a brilliant way to observe wildlife. Nepal
Tour & Trekking Service P. Ltd is a fantastic operator, and Kishor is a
lovely host and manager for birding and wildlife viewing. On the last day, we
went on a jeep safari and, although it was March, we saw a tiger! The Nature
Safari Resort is in a beautiful location for birding; tigers have been spotted
from here and locals passing by. Everyone is very friendly, and we wish we had
had more time than three nights to enjoy this wonderful place. The accommodation
is traditionally built, and everything is environmentally friendly. The food is
good, and this includes the lovely packed lunches during the safari day.

all the information. I appreciate his work to try to protect this environment.
We highly recommend this place to travel; the staff is amiable and helpful. The
grounds are quiet; you can feel the tranquillity of the national park. The food
was delicious with typical accommodations.

Since
childhood, I have been an animal lover and I Enjoy when I spent my significant
time in Bardia National Park. During my last stay in Nepal, I was in Chitwan
National Park, it was great, but Bardia captivated me. Kishor also played a massive
role in making this trip fun. If it wasn't for them, I would be lost entirely
and wouldn't even know what Bardia is. They took care of everything from hotels
to documents to anything I needed help with. They were always polite and had a
charm on their faces. Thank you.
