The best time for a tour in Nepal
You can travel all year round in Nepal, and each season shows a
different landscape. However, it is convenient to know the climatic season.
Usually, two seasons are considered the best: Spring and autumn, and the season
is divided into four different climatic seasons:
Spring
(March, April, May):
During this time, the lowlands are slightly warm while the higher elevations are temperate, with many opportunities for amazing views of the mountains and countryside. At this time, flowers, especially Nepal's national flower, the rhododendron, adorn the soaring heights with their blaze of color and beauty. The high-altitude huts also open and fill with mountain lovers.
Summer
(June, July, and Augusta:
It is monsoon season in Nepal. At this time, the weather is hot and humid. It rains almost every day with occasional thunderstorms at night. The rain makes the vegetation very green and pleasant. If you are planning a trekking tour this season, we recommend choosing Nepal's rain-protected areas. Even if you don't mind the rain and want to trek in this season, be sure to bring an umbrella, Pancho, good waterproof trekking shoes, windproof jackets, luggage cover, raincoat, and the necessary insect repellent. The reward of this month is the view of the lush green valley captured by small flowers. It is a beautiful time to observe the agricultural cycle of the monsoon and traditional Nepalese life.
Autumn (September, October, and November):
This time is considered the best time to travel in Nepal, with summer and winter arrival. The weather is delightful, as the views of the mountains are superb. The trekking routes are embellished by the presence of trekking and expedition groups. Meanwhile, most of the festivals of Nepalese societies are celebrated with enthusiasm at this time.
Winter
(December, January, and February):
During this time, the weather is superb, and the skies are clear, with occasional snowfall at higher elevations. At this time, trekking is fine at lower elevations; however, at higher elevations, most lodges are closed, and it will be somewhat challenging to cross the high altitude passes. This time of year is good for trekking at the lower elevations. The mornings and evenings are freezing, sometimes reaching temperatures of (-) minus, but the days are warm and pleasant.
Travel Insurance:
During a trip to Nepal, it is necessary to purchase travel insurance, covering all possible purchases in medical problems or accidents. In particular, your travel insurance should cover air ambulance, treatment costs, rescue and evacuation, trip cancellation and reimbursable expenses, flight delays, and cancellations. We recommend that you bring or send us a scanned copy of your travel insurance certificate and that your home country issues it. We do not sell insurance.
Vaccination
It is best to follow the World Health Organization's precautions
and other international health institutions that recommend vaccinations before
traveling to Nepal to prevent certain deadly diseases. If possible, we
recommend bringing your medical certificate with you, but it is unnecessary to
show it, just for safety. The recommended vaccinations are polio, diphtheria,
tetanus, yellow fever, hepatitis A/B, influenza, Japanese encephalitis, and
tuberculosis. In the meantime, it is better to consult your doctor for
appropriate recommendations. You can also follow the suggestions of local
travelers who have already traveled to Nepal and learn more about the necessary
precautions. Keep in mind that the protection that can be achieved with
vaccines varies from 50% to almost 100%. Therefore, keep in mind that even
though you have significantly reduced your risk of contracting the disease, you
can still become infected after receiving a vaccination.
Pashupatinath Temple: Located on the Bagmati River banks, the Pashupatinath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva's incarnation. Apart from being the most sought-after tourist spot in Kathmandu, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an architectural marvel that withstood even the powerful earthquake of 2015.
Swayambhunath Stupa: This Stupa is located on the top of the hill and is known for offering spectacular views of the Kathmandu Valley. This temple is also known as the monkey temple as there are many monkeys on its premises. Although it is one of the best places to visit in Kathmandu, it is considered sacred by Hindus and Buddhists.
Budhanilkantha Temple: Nearly 1000 years old, Budhanilkantha Temple is very popular for its enigmatic stone-carved Lord Vishnu statue, resting. The temple is one of the most visited places near Kathmandu and will surely leave you in awe of its architecture.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Kathmandu Durbar Square, also known as Basantapur Durbar Square, opposite the old royal palace of the former kingdom of Kathmandu, is one of the three durbars (royal palace) squares in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, all of which are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Bhaktapur is one of the cities in the Kathmandu Valley that was a city-state in ancient times. This square in front of the royal palace of the ancient kingdom of Bhaktapur is called Durbar Square and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Patan Durbar Square: Patan Durbar Square is located in the center of Lalitpur in Nepal. It is one of the three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley, UNESCO World Heritage Sites. One of the attractions is the old royal palace where the Malla Kings of Lalitpur resided.
The Garden of Dreams: It is a neoclassical garden at Emperor Mahal in Kathmandu, Nepal, built in 1920. Designed by Kishore Narshingh, it consists of 6,895 square meters of garden space with three pavilions, an amphitheater, ponds, pergolas, and urns. It had been in a state of disrepair since the mid-1960s, after the death of its patron, Emperor Sumsher Rana, but was recently restored with the Austrian government's help.
Narayanhiti Palace Museum: Narayanhiti Palace Museum is a public museum in Kathmandu, Nepal, located east of Emperor Mahal and adjacent to Thamel. The museum was created in 2008 from the old Narayanhiti Palace complex after the 2006 revolution.
Above all, these places that you can visit near Kathmandu will give you a complete tourist experience proud of its culture and traditional values.
Kathmandu is famous for housing some religious monuments, places of worship, stupas, and monasteries. All these heritage sites of the capital Kathmandu are popular among tourists for their impressive, intricate, and religious artworks. Apart from all these, you will also be able to capture the outstanding scenic beauty of the great Himalayan range.
Thamel
It is highly recommended you stay in Thamel, Kathmandu. As Thamel is a prominent tourist place with all tourists' facilities, it is also very convenient to find guest houses, hotels, restaurants, bars, pubs, markets, banks, ATMs, and whatever tourists need. It is about 7 km away from the airport.
If you want to fly to Kathmandu, there are regular flights from Bhadrapur, about 25 kilometers from Kakarbhitta. Birgunj, in southern Nepal, is the most popular border crossing for travelers heading to Kathmandu, as it is only 6-8 hours away by bus.
By tourist bus
Tourist buses are another way to get from Kathmandu to Chitwan. They leave early in the morning near Thamel and arrive in Sauraha after five or more hours. They usually make some comfort and lunch stops, though not on call. The coaches are generally air-conditioned and moderately comfortable.

We had a wonderful vacation in Nepal with Nepal Tour &
Trekking Service P. Ltd. The highlight of our trip was the Kathmandu and
Chitwan National Park. The scenery was breathtaking, and our tour guide made
the experience great with their attentiveness, information and responsiveness.
Our local guide for Kathmandu and Chitwan was excellent, and we learned a lot
about the culture, tradition, and different places. The agency team was
accommodating and flexible and even went the extra mile to incorporate our
bungee jumping request. This agency was cheaper and more reliable. They were
our Nepal hosts. We recommend this agency to anyone who wants to tour and trek
in Nepal.

One of my friends recommended that Nepal is the best place to
travel, so my wife and I decided to do a tour in Nepal in May 2015, but at the
same time, there was a big earthquake, so we booked our trip for the first week
in September 2017. We saw some great reviews on Tripadvisor from previous
clients of this agency, so we sent an email inquiring about the trip to
Kathmandu and Chitwan. We started our email conversation with Nepal Tour and
Trekking Service P. Ltd; we thought this company is reliable, trustworthy, and
professional, so we decided to trip with this agency.
When we arrived at Kathmandu airport, the representative of the agency
was waiting for us. After meeting him, we felt delighted. He dropped us off at
our booked hotel that the agency had arranged and took us out for dinner. The
next day we went on a city tour of Kathmandu with a tour guide. The tour guide
was very knowledgeable; he showed us the temple and the stupa and explained the
history. Likewise, we did the Chitwan jungle safari. The organization was
excellent everywhere in Chitwan and Kathmandu. Also, the price is not very
high. We enjoyed our trip very much. We can highly recommend this agency for a
successful tour in Nepal.
