If you can't make it to the Everest Base Camp trek, don't miss this
It was a great flight to see the
Himalayas and Mount Everest. If you want to improve your experience, this is an
exceptional time. The key is to manage your expectations.
The weather is always changeable. We
had to wait two hours before we could board and take off. It can be pretty standard.
We got window seats on both sides of
the plane. On the way out, the mountains are on the left side. The aircraft
will turn left, and the right side will see the mountains on the way back.
We got a map of the mountains. The
flight crew helps us to identify the mountains. We got a chance to visit the cockpit
to take just a few photos.
Understand that you will still be a reasonable
distance from Everest. You have to get closer, but the view was spectacular.
The plane is very comfortable, and we
flew at 21000 feet.
