Nepal Buddhist pilgrimage tour
includes the major Buddhist pilgrimage sites such as Swyombhunath Stupa,
Bouddhanath Stupa, Buddhist pilgrimage sites of Patan, Namobuddha, Lumbini,
World Peace Stupa and Kopan Monastery. These Buddhist pilgrimage sites in Nepal
are top-rated worldwide, with thousands of Buddhist devotees spending weeks
exploring the essence of Buddhism, which is fundamentally rooted in peace and
wisdom.
We begin the Buddhist pilgrimage tour by
visiting the Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the Kathmandu Valley. These sites
include Swyombhunath Stupa, Bouddhanath Stupa and Durbar Square in Patan.
Swyombhunath Stupa, also known as Monkey Temple, is very special for Hindu and
Buddhist pilgrims. The huge hilltop stupa offers a spiritual journey inside
with the Buddha's impressive eyes imprinted on it. The prayer flags and wheels
make this visit even more spiritual.
Similarly, Bouddhanath Stupa is
equally essential to Buddhist and Hindu believers. The serene environment and
the classical settlements around the stupa fascinate many tourists who come to
Bouddhanath Stupa. Similarly, at Patan Durbar Square, you will explore Hiranya
Varna Mahavihar, Mahabouddha Temple and other Buddhist sites.
Then we drive or walk from Dhulikhel
to Namobuddha. Namobuddha is where Buddha fed his flesh to a hungry tigress and
her cubs in his past life as a prince. With this popular myth, Namobuddha is
considered one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world. This
Buddhist pilgrimage now takes us to the sacred birthplace of Gautam Buddha,
where we visit the Lumbini Museum, Mayadevi Temple, Ashoka Garden and Ashoka
Pillar. In Lumbini, we can learn a lot about Buddhism. If we want, we can also
participate in meditation and yoga.
The same trip will take you to
Pokhara, a city holy city by nature. We will drive or hike to Sarangkot
viewpoint and celebrate with the first sunset of the breathtaking Annapurna
massif, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhare, Ganesh Himal and Manaslu. You then explore
the serene city of Pokhara and take a cruise on Lake Phewa. In the afternoon,
we drive or hike to the World Peace Stupa and again take in the fascinating
panorama of Annapurna, Pokhara city and Lake Phewa.
Finally, we will drive or fly from
Pokhara to Kathmandu and visit Kopan Monastery, a famous centre for learning
Buddhism and practising yoga and meditation. People from all over the world
come to Kopan Monastery to learn Buddhism and practice yoga and meditation.
Arrive at Tribhuwan International
Airport with international flights. Optionally, you can use the road from India
or Tibet to reach Kathmandu. You will meet our representative at the arrival
point and arrange your transfer to the hotel.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we will sit and briefly discuss the itinerary
we have planned. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Pashupatinath
Pashupatinath holey temple attracts
pilgrims all year round and even more during festivals like Shivaratri, when thousands
of Hindus, both Nepalese and Indian, come. Not far from Pashupati is the
gigantic stupa of Boudha, revered by Buddhists as a sacred pilgrimage site.
The Wheel of Dharma
The Wheel of Dharma, also called
Dharmachakra, is one of the oldest and most emblematic symbols of the Buddhist
faith. Emperor Ashoka, who ruled over large parts of India from about 304 BC
and was symbolized by a lion, was a follower of Buddhism and erected pillars on
which the dharma wheel was prominently displayed.
